Architect

Masato Sekiya

Working mainly on the construction of new residences, I also undertake the renovation of older homes and the production and design of commercial facilities. After graduating Art University, using the skills I acquired in my studies of oil painting, I worked in the design department of a housing company. While employed, I studied for and passed the exam to get the national qualification of Architect First Class. Later I moved out on my own and set up the Planet Creations Masato Sekiya Architectural Design Studio.

As an independent architect, I continued to work in the Keihanshin (Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe) area on a variety of residences and other projects, and my work has been featured in various media, such as academic journals, professional magazines, TV programs, etc., both in Japan and abroad.
